Yet, in accord with your •hardness and unrepentant heart you are hoarding for yourself indignation in the day of indignation and revelation of the just judgment of •God

Sf38:
niin kuin kirjoitettu on: ”Ei ole ketään vanhurskasta, ei ainoatakaan,
ei ole ketään ymmärtäväistä, ei ketään, joka etsii Jumalaa;
kaikki ovat poikenneet pois, kaikki tyynni kelvottomiksi käyneet; ei ole ketään, joka tekee sitä, mikä hyvä on, ei yhden yhtäkään.
CLV:
according as it is °written~, that ”Not one is just”—not yeven one.
Not one is •understanding. Not one is •seeking out •God.
”All avoid Him: at the same time they were useless. Not one is •doing kindness: there is not even one!”

Sf38:
Niin päätämme siis, että ihminen vanhurskautetaan uskon kautta, ilman lain tekoja.
CLV:
For we are reckoning~ a man to be |justified by faith apart from works of law

Sf38:
Lupaus ja usko kuuluvat yhteen sitä varten, että kaikki olisi armoa. Näin lupaus on varma ja koskee kaikkia Abrahamin jälkeläisiä, ei vain niitä joilla on laki, vaan myös niitä joilla on Abrahamin usko. Hän on meidän kaikkien isä.
CLV:
Therefore it is of faith that it may accord with grace, for the promise to be confirmed to the entire seed, not to those o of the law only, but to those also o of the faith of Abraham, who is father of us all.
